When i started to get into dance music propperly in the late 90s, i heard this stuff tidy and people were releasing, and didn't have a clue what it was called, but i knew what house was, hard house sounds nothing like house! I guess it was called hard house initially because most dance music was called house in the early 90s and it was a bit faster, but you'd think they'd change the name or something, and i still wanna hear some soft bungalo, or hard flat, or the american equivalent which is hard appartment music. Garage I could understand the 60s, psychedelic garage being called garage, but what sounds remotely car-like about mj cole etc? and that new 4/4 shite sounds nothing like garage used to anyway, ugh bassline, i hate it. so who's going to come and listen to some 4/4 speed shed with me? should be banging! oh, it is banging, it's the neighbers telling me to stop playing that god awful excuse for a bassline... hard house.
